About Angela Dowdle

Angela Dowdle is a 5th generation Texan with roots in Burnet County dating back to 1847. Currently an attorney in private practice, Angela has spent the last thirty years trying every type of case heard in this courtroom.

Sensitive, life-altering issues such as marital breakups, child custody, child abuse, adoptions and division of community assets make up the bulk of Angela’s legal background. She helps people through some of the most trying times of their lives.

More than any other court in Burnet County, the County Court at Law impacts every one of us. In this court, a combination of criminal, civil and family law are all practiced. Anyone who has a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker who has been a crime victim, defendant, civil litigant or gone through a divorce knows how vital it is for the County Court At Law Judge to know the job.

That’s why it’s critical we elect a judge to this bench who has the breadth and depth of experience needed to handle the delicate matters that arise here.

Angela is a graduate of the University of Texas with a B.B.A. in Accounting and the University of Texas School of Law. She is a licensed CPA, mediator, and former prosecutor. She is an active member of the Republican Party and the Burnet County Republican Women. Married to Terry Kennedy for 22 years, together they have four children and a newborn granddaughter.
